I got into town, only had to wait about 10 minutes at the Jobcentre Plus to have them photocopy Amanda's payslip. I asked for a receipt but was told they didn't give them, *sigh*. So let's just hope this copy doesn't get lost, eh ( Read more... )

09:55 - I start trying to phone Income Support for an appointment.

For today anyway. Actually I 'quit' a while ago, around 12:30 my time. I'm just too tired due to screwy sleep to go into town if I ever did get through to make an appointment.

So, it'll have to be tomorrow now (the deadline for this), although I did phone the main office to point out my troubles in getting an appointment.

That's what DWP must REALLY stand for.

1.5 hours of hitting redial and counting....

That's how long I've been hitting redial on the Income Support number for now, on average redialling once a minute at least.

So, I finally get myself to phone for an appointment with Income Support. I start trying to phone about 20 seconds after 10:00:00 rolls over. It takes 8 minutes of redialling to get through, only to be told that if I want an appointment for tomorrow or Thursday I have to phone on that day ( Read more... )

Oh, wow, I actually got through just now on my second attempt to the local Jobcentre to make an appointment.

Except apparently it's too late today to make one, I need to call back ASAP after 10am tomorrow.
